Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS 1954 Touring
The Alfa Romeo 1900 was made for the Mille Miglia at the Portello factory in Milan between 1950 and 1959.
This model has the Touring Superleggera aluminium body.
We are restoring an Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS 1954 Touring for an American collector, whose aim is to take part in the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours.
A profound expert of this car is Giovanni Bianchi Anderloni, conservative of the Touring register and Honorary President of the Touring Superleggera register, as well as the grandson of Felice Bianchi Anderloni, founder of the historic Touring bodywork in 1926 and son of Carlo Felice Anderloni, creator, among others, of the Ferrari 166 Sport MM “Barchetta” and of the AR 1900C Sprint and Supersprint.
The exchanges with Mr. Anderloni guide us in our search for useful information on how to restore this car, while respecting its authenticity.
